Chateau Haut Cadet

This property, located at Bragard, in the north of Saint-Emilion appellation, has been purchased by the de Gaye Family in 2015. With Château Grand Corbin Manuel (located at 200 meters from Haut Cadet) it represents 26 hectares under production into the appellation Grand Cru of Saint Emilion. 55% of these 26 hectares are dedicated to produce Château Haut Cadet.

The 2015 vintage was marked by mild temperatures and low rainfall throughout the winter, up to the month of April, allowing a harmonious budbreak across the vine. The summer season got off to a great start, concentrating the flowering period over the first two weeks of June. A very hot start to July caused water stress which led to early veraison and nicely concentrated fruit. A small amount of rainfall in August marked the beginning of an early, homogeneous ripening period.

Colour: dark red deep colour. Bouquet: fresh with floral and black fruits notes. Palate: intense, with tannins which bring an extra touch of complexity. Finish: Good length and persistence.
